I really felt like I was in the era, and I'm going to be buying more of Celia Rees books. The ending was somewhat unexpected, and I felt that it was a lot of fun to read.
I found that this book needed more to it. It was a bit like Twilight, you wanted to read it but in the end you are like "This book sort of wasted my time".
Even after I saw the reviews here, I figured I'd give this book a try. Alas, although I managed to read the entire thing, I just couldn't get into it.
