Annoyingly verbose, with far too many rhetorical questions, and it's exclusively US-centric, however it is also chock full of very helpful information. A good editor could have halved the length without compromising the message or the scientific explanations however I still recommend this book to everyone.

Found the characters to be very "real", I can identify with weight gain and how hard it is to take it off, and what u have to go thru to take it off. I literally laughed out loud.

This is a wonderfully comprehensive look at the impact of sugar on individuals and society at large. It is a significant piece of popular science and academic writing worthy for all libraries.
